Question 2

Do I need to create an account to start counting my days?

Not at all. You can use CountMyDays immediately in guest mode without creating an account or providing an email address. All your countdowns, custom start dates, progress preferences, and personal notes are safely preserved inside your browser's private local storage vault.

Question 3

How does the Milestone Progress Bar work?

When creating or editing any countdown, you can set an optional Start Date alongside your Target Date. CountMyDays automatically calculates your exact journey percentage in real time and displays an animated visual progress bar showing time elapsed versus time remaining.

Question 4

How do I export countdowns to Google Calendar or Apple/Outlook (.ics)?

Accepted Answer

Click the Calendar icon on any milestone card or in Fullscreen view. You can click 'Add to Google Calendar' to launch a pre-populated event with customizable reminders, or click 'Download .ics' to save an iCalendar file compatible with Apple Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and mobile calendar apps.

Question 5

Does CountMyDays work offline without an internet connection?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Thanks to our modern Service Worker caching architecture and local storage fallback, CountMyDays loads instantly and continues calculating countdowns even when you are completely offline, in airplane mode, or in low-connectivity areas.

Question 6

What is the difference between Countdown and Countup mode?

Accepted Answer

Countdown (Until) calculates the time remaining until a future date or deadline arrives—such as a birthday, vacation, graduation, or product launch. Countup (Since) calculates the elapsed time that has passed since an important milestone occurred—such as a sobriety date, wedding anniversary, or career milestone.

Question 7

How do I restore my milestones and notes from a backup code?

Accepted Answer

Click 'IMPORT CODE' on your dashboard or 'RESTORE BACKUP' in Settings. You can paste your backup string into the text box or click 'Upload .txt' to select your saved file. CountMyDays validates and decodes the payload, restoring your entire timeline instantly.
